Our first concert for the year is fast approaching and Asha and her band have begun their rehearsals. It's looking like a fantastic line up of songs for a journey into A Night in Paris.

Happy New Year

Dear Music Lovers,

We hope you have all had a safe and happy holiday break. We have all enjoyed having the time to plan for this years absolute cracker of a season.

2015 brings you THREE gala concerts and three intimate art song recitals.

Gala Concerts
We kick off the season with the stunning Asha Lunarzewski and her jazz band with A Night in Paris. You will be taken on a journey through a Parisian night of jazz with renditions of songs such as I Love Paris, La Vie En Rose and many more.
Save the date: May 15th, 16th and 17th.

Secondly, the wonderful Newcastle choir Acappella Nova will present Vocal Bliss; an afternoon of acappella music. They will perform pieces from around the world including spirituals such as Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen, classic songs like A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square and many more.
Save the date: July 4th and 5th

Finally, we bring to you the latest offering from Choir V. They will be joined by a piano trio to bring you vocal and instrumental pieces from Monteverdi, Mozart and Mendelssohn. A concert not to be missed!
Save the Date: July 25th and 26th.

Our Art Song Recital series at St Andrews Presbyterian Chirch in Newcastle will feature musicians Joelene Griffith and Bradley Gilchrist, Christopher Allen and Peter Guy and Samantha Cobcroft and Vincent Parmeter.

Big thanks for everyone who came along to our European Christmas concerts last weekend.

It's that time of year again and al the stores are playing the same old Christmas songs on repeat. If you love Christmas, or you love madrigals, or you just want to enjoy a moment of peaceful reflection, come along to our European Christmas concert this weekend. Choir V and the Scots Kirk Baroque Band bring you a luscious selection of traditional Christmas carols from the other side of the world.

Another wonderful musician joins us for our Nelson Bay gig

Meet our wonderful cellist, Naomi Dart, who will be joining us at our Nelson Bay Opera Gala.

Naomi has been playing cello for theatre productions and private gigs in from the Hunter region down to Wollongong for the last twenty five years. She has also spent time recording works for both albums and TV advertising. A talented performer who plays classical, Latin American, Spanish, Jazz and even rock music, Naomi performs, teaches and runs a small chamber ensemble.
